How To...

… find out what’s happening right now.

 

On a computer: 1) Hover over the “Event Schedule” tab near the top of the screen. 2) Click on your time zone (US time zones only for now, sorry). 3) Scroll down to today’s day and you will see everything happening on all 5 channels/spaces

 

On a phone: 1) Click open the menu in the top right hand corner of your screen. 2) Click on event schedule 3) Click on your time Zone. (If this takes you directly to the “Event Schedule” page, click on the menu again and you should now see a dropdown under “Event Schedule” that shows time zones). 4) Scroll down to today’s day and you will see everything happening on all five channels/spaces.

 

… get to the classes, panels, parties, suites and other content.

 

On a computer: 1) Check the schedule to find out which channel the content you want to partake in is happening on. 2) Click the “Event Access” tab near the top of the screen. 3) Click on the channel you need from the drop down menu. 4) When you get to the next page, just click the button for Channel 1, Channel 3, Bootblack Lounge or FreeQ to be taken to the appropriate zoom room or to the FreeQ dungeon party space. The page for Channel 2 will show you the livestream directly on that page.

… go shopping.

 

On a computer: 1) Hover over the “Event Program” tab near the top of the screen. 2) Click on “Vendors”. 3) Scroll down and click on the logo of the vendor where you would like to shop. 4) On the next page you will see access to their website if you would just like to visit the site. 5) If you would like a personalized one-on one shopping excursion, you have 2 options. First, you can click on the “Make an Appointment” button to be taken to the profile page of the vendor. Once there, message them to set up an appointment. Alternatively, if you want to shop right away, you can jump into Channel 1 and scroll through the attendees to find the logo of your vendor. If they are in the room, send a private message to the person named “Breakout Rooms” requesting a breakout room to shop. If someone is already shopping, the breakout room coordinator will let you know when the next available slot is. … request ASL for a social area or for a party

 

On a computer: 1) Click on the “Members” tab near the top of the screen. 2) Scroll down through the members until you find our ASL Coordinators, Tuesday Niles or Lou Alchemy. 3) Click on the little chat button beside “Follow” on the right side of the screen line with their name and a chat box will pop up for you to request ASL. 

On a phone: 1) Click open the menu in the top right hand corner of your screen. 2) Click on “Members” 3) Scroll down through the members until you find our ASL Coordinators, Tuesday Niles or Lou Alchemy. 3) Choose one of them and click the little red chat icon in the bottom right corner of your screen. 4) Use the search tool to find the person you chose and this will open up a private chat between the two of you for you to request ASL. 

… find out which groups are exclusive and join the ones I am part of

 

On a computer: 1) Click on the “Groups” tab near the top of the screen. 2) Scroll down through the groups until you find the group you are looking for. If you are a Deaf/Hard of Hearing person, you are looking for “ASL/Deaf/HOH”. If you are a Para-Abled or Neurodivergent person, you are looking for “Para-Abled or Neurodivergent Community”. If you are a POC, you are looking for “BIPOC BADDIES”. If you are a Trans woman, you are looking for “Trans Women Meetup”. If you are 35 years old or under, you are looking for “35 and Under”.  3) Click “Join” on the group to join and a moderator will let you in as soon as they are able.

… join a group

 

On a computer: 1) Click on the “Groups” tab near the top of the screen. 2) Scroll down through the groups until you find the group you are looking for. 3) Click “Join” on the group to join and you will either become a member immediately if it is a public group, or a moderator will let you in as soon as they are able, if it is private.

 

On a phone: 1) Click open the menu in the top right hand corner of your screen. 2) Click on “Groups” 2) Scroll down through the groups until you find the group you are looking for. 3) Click “Join” on the group to join and you will either become a member immediately if it is a public group, or a moderator will let you in as soon as they are able, if it is private.

 

… create a group

 

On a computer: 1) Click on the “Groups” tab near the top of the screen. 2) Right underneath the “Forum” tab you will see “+ Create Group” 3) Click “+ Create Group” and the group creation popup will pop up. 4) Add a cover photo. 5) Enter the name you want for the group. 6) Choose whether the group will be public or private. If private, you will have to allow folks in one at a time when they request access. 6) Click “Create” 7) As soon as tech is able to approve the group, you will receive an email letting you know that your group is live!

 

On a phone: 1) Click open the menu in the top right hand corner of your screen. 2) Click on “Groups” 3) Right beside the “Groups” header, you will see “= Create Group”. 4) Click “+ Create Group” and you will be taken to the group creation page. 5) Add a cover photo. 6) Enter the name you want for the group. 7) Choose whether the group will be public or private. If private, you will have to allow folks in one at a time when they request access. 8) Click “Create” 9) As soon as tech is able to approve the group, you will receive an email letting you know that your group is live!


 

… flirt with someone

 

On a computer: 1) Click on the “Members” tab near the top of the screen. 2) Scroll down through the members until you find the person or a person you wish to flirt with. 3) Click on their picture to go to their profile. 4) From this page you can see what they’ve posted to their profile and you can follow them by clicking the “Follow” button or you can send them a private message by clicking the “Message” button.

 

On a phone: 1) Click open the menu in the top right hand corner of your screen. 2) Scroll down through the members until you find the person or a person you wish to flirt with. 3) Click on their picture to go to their profile. 4) From this page you can see what they’ve posted to their profile and you can follow them by clicking the “Follow” button or you can send them a private message by clicking the “Message” button. 5) If the chat button doesn’t work, click the red chat icon in the lower right hand of your screen, then click “+ New Chat” and use the search bar to find them.

 

… flirt with everyone

 

On a computer: 1) Click on the “Forum” tab near the top of the screen. 2) At the top right hand corner of the posts, you will see a “Create New Post” button. 3) Click the “Create New Post” button and write a post for everyone to see and join in!

 

On a phone: 1) Click open the menu in the top right hand corner of your screen. 2) Click on “Forum” 3) At the top of the screen you will see a “Create New Post” button. 3) Click the “Create New Post” button and write a post for everyone to see and join in!

… ask an educator a question

 

On a computer: 1) Click on the “Members” tab near the top of the screen. 2) Scroll down through the members until you find the educator you are looking for 3) Click on the little chat button beside “Follow” on the right side of the screen line with their name and a chat box will pop up for you to ask your question. Remember that educators are also attendees and may not be available right away to answer your question.

 

On a phone: 1) Click open the menu in the top right hand corner of your screen. 2) Click on “Members” 3) Scroll down through the members until you find the educator you are looking for 4) 3) Click the little red chat icon in the bottom right corner of your screen. 4) Use the search tool to find the person you chose and this will open up a private chat between the two of you for you to ask your question. Remember that educators are also attendees and may not be available right away to answer your question.

 

… get to the Dungeon Parties.

 

On a computer: 1) Click the “Event Access” tab near the top of the screen. 2) Click on “FreeQ" . 3) When you get to the next page, before you click the button, click on the link to start the DJ stream if you want to hear the music. If not, skip right to the next step. 4) Click the party button you are going to. You will be transported directly to the dungeon of your choice in the FreeQ dungeon party space.

 

On a phone: 1) Click open the menu in the top right hand corner of your screen. 2) Click on “Event Access” (If this takes you directly to the “Event Access” page, click on the menu again and you should now see a dropdown under “Event Access” that shows you channel options). 3) Click on “FreeQ”. 4) When you get to the next page, before you click the button, click on the link to start the DJ stream (this will work better on a computer) if you want to hear the music. If not, skip right to the next step. 4) Click the party button you are going to. You will be transported directly to the dungeon of your choice in the FreeQ dungeon party space.
