How To...enjoy IMsLBB 2023
This year at IMsLBB we are going hybrid. Check the on-site schedule or the virtual schedule to see all the action. On-site attendees have access to the virtual event too! All activities in Classroom 1 and Classroom 2 can be found on zoom. All contest activities will be either live streamed of pre-recorded and shared during the weekend. Make sure you have your "2023 Attendee" badge to get access!
… find out what’s happening right now.
On a computer: 1) Hover over the “Event Schedule” tab near the top of the screen. 2) Click on on-site or virtual. 3) Scroll down to today’s day and you will see everything happening on all channels/spaces. Friday and Saturday have multiple pages.

… get to the classes, panels, parties, suites and other content.
On a computer: 1) Check the schedule to find out which channel the content you want to partake in is happening on. 2) Click the “Event Access” tab near the top of the screen. 3) Click on the channel you need from the drop down menu. 4) When you get to the next page, just click the button for Channel 1, Channel 2, Boardroom or Live Stream to be taken to the appropriate zoom room or to the one-way streaming channel.

On a computer: 1) Click on the “Groups” tab near the top of the screen. 2) Scroll down through the groups until you find the group you are looking for. If you are a Deaf/Hard of Hearing person, you are looking for “ASL/Deaf/HOH”. If you are a Para-Abled or Neurodivergent person, you are looking for “Para-Abled or Neurodivergent Community”. If you are a POC, you are looking for “BIPOC BADDIES”. If you are a Trans woman, you are looking for “Trans Women Meetup”. If you are 35 years old or under, you are looking for “35 and Under”. 3) Click “Join” on the group to join and a moderator will let you in as soon as they are able.

… create a group
On a computer: 1) Click on the “Groups” tab near the top of the screen. 2) Right underneath the “Forum” tab you will see “+ Create Group” 3) Click “+ Create Group” and the group creation popup will pop up. 4) Add a cover photo. 5) Enter the name you want for the group. 6) Choose whether the group will be public or private. If private, you will have to allow folks in one at a time when they request access. 6) Click “Create” 7) As soon as tech is able to approve the group, you will receive an email letting you know that your group is live!

On a computer: 1) Click on the “Members” tab near the top of the screen. 2) Scroll down through the members until you find the person or a person you wish to flirt with. 3) Click on their picture to go to their profile. 4) From this page you can see what they’ve posted to their profile and you can follow them by clicking the “Follow” button or you can send them a private message by clicking the “Message” button.
On a phone: 1) Click open the menu in the top right hand corner of your screen. 2) Scroll down through the members until you find the person or a person you wish to flirt with. 3) Click on their picture to go to their profile. 4) From this page you can see what they’ve posted to their profile and you can follow them by clicking the “Follow” button or you can send them a private message by clicking the “Message” button. 5) If the chat button doesn’t work, click the red chat icon in the lower right hand of your screen, then click “+ New Chat” and use the search bar to find them.

… ask an educator a question
On a computer: 1) Click on the “Members” tab near the top of the screen. 2) Scroll down through the members until you find the educator you are looking for 3) Click on the little chat button beside “Follow” on the right side of the screen line with their name and a chat box will pop up for you to ask your question. Remember that educators are also attendees and may not be available right away to answer your question.
On a phone: 1) Click open the menu in the top right hand corner of your screen. 2) Click on “Members” 3) Scroll down through the members until you find the educator you are looking for 4) 3) Click the little red chat icon in the bottom right corner of your screen. 4) Use the search tool to find the person you chose and this will open up a private chat between the two of you for you to ask your question. Remember that educators are also attendees and may not be available right away to answer your question.
